Mountain Biking - Desert Cyclery

Out the door from our South Bluff Street location, you’ll be able to hit the nice smooth asphalt, cooled by the meandering Santa Clara and Virgin rivers. Glide around huge boulders and river tamarack, with the distant views of red towering mesas and rocky desert canyons. Or take a ride with us, and tackle some of the most exciting off-road terrain in all the world; hone your balance and skill with expert riders! From our North Bluff Street location, hit the road on a speedy bike and ride the 21 mile Snow Canyon loop. Breathtaking views, breathtaking hill climbs. Or if you feel the need for off-road speed, pick up a shuttle to a local downhill run.

Package 1:

A two person shuttle to the top of Utah Hill, one of St. George's highest peaks. From there, you'll be whisked down the mountain aboard an easy going cruiser. View the Red Rock Bluffs below, and see them time and time again as you drop 15000 feet to the valley floor. A 7.5 mile ride from top to bottom - with no pedaling involved. The trip is 1.5 to 2 hours.

Package 2:

A two person package. Ride with one of our guides around the backroads of St. George to the less traveled, more scenic parts of Southern Utah. Rides last about 4 hours including breaks. Lunch, road bikes and guides included. Rides leave from the Desert Tours or from the hotel of your choice.

Package 3:

Spend two half days learning the skills and techniques of safe mountain biking. An expert rider will coach you through the thrills and fun of proper braking, cornering, climbing and decending. The first day is on simple easy terrain. The second day, rid similarly, or move to intermediate, more technical terrain. Lunches, bikes, and coach included.

Desert Cyclery offers a large selection of in-stock Mountain and Road Bikes, and all necessary apparel and parts for both disciplines. The service department has quick turn around time and is staffed with knowledgeable mechanics. Rental bikes and tours are available for mountain or road.
